Project
Nook
A small business selling aromatic oils had a product worth loving - but nothing to show for it. No name, no logo, no system. Just amber glass bottles and handwritten sticky labels. We built everything from scratch: the name, the identity, the packaging system, and the webshop.

It started with a problem nobody asked us to solve.
It ended with a brand people remember.
The origin
A small business was selling aromatic oils at local markets. Same amber bottles everyone uses, handwritten sticky labels telling you which scent was inside. It looked like price tags at an old supermarket. The product was good. The packaging wasn't telling that story.
We started with a label and a cap sticker - so customers could identify scents from the top of the bottle without picking each one up. Sent to print, came back perfect. A few months later, people were asking how to buy more, where to find them online. Demand had outgrown the brand. That's when we built everything else.
Nook
/ nʊk / - a cozy corner; a sheltered, intimate space.
English · easily pronounced in Serbian
With no existing name to work from, we started from scratch. The name needed to feel warm, intimate, and easy to say - in both English and Serbian. Something that could sit on a bottle, a website, and an exhibition stand without explanation.
Nook checked everything. It evokes exactly what a good scent does: it wraps you in a moment, turns any space into somewhere you want to stay. And it works phonetically in Serbian without translation - rare for an English word.
Logo
Finding the mark.
The name was clean and confident - the mark needed to match. We explored different ways to bring the product itself into the wordmark. An oil drop replacing the second O was the answer: simple, literal, and immediately readable. The amber color of the drop mirrors the actual oil in the bottle.
Early exploration → drop placement → weight & color → final mark.
Identity system
28 scents. 28 identities. One system.
Every oil needed its own personality without breaking the family. The solution was an organic blob system - each scent gets a unique shape and color palette, inspired by the scent itself. Jorgovan is lavender-purple. Limun is bright yellow. Menta is cool teal. Together they create variety; individually, each one is instantly ownable.
The full identity system - 28 scents, 28 unique color expressions.
Packaging
From label to cap.
The system had to solve a practical problem: customers browsing a table of bottles needed to identify scents at a glance, even from above. A label on the bottle. A matching sticker on the cap. Pick it up or look down - the scent is always visible.
Label system - four scents shown
Cap stickers - same scents, circular format
Top view - identifiable at a glance
Packaging detail
Small bottle. Big personality.
Each 10ml bottle carries its blob front and center - the shape cropped by the label edges, the scent name in the script font. The design system holds at any size, from the label artwork to the cap sticker to the webshop thumbnail.
The system scales from a 10ml bottle to an exhibition stand - same blobs, same logic, same instant recognition.
Collateral
Every touchpoint, covered.
Business card - front & back with branded QR code
Exhibition stand - identity at street scale
Web
The brand online.
With demand growing and customers asking where to order, a webshop was the natural next step. Built on WooCommerce, the brand identity carries through - every product listed with its bottle mockup, scent name, and blob color. From bottle to basket in three clicks.
In context
The product in the wild.
"People started coming back asking for specific scents, looking for us online, wanting more. We hadn't done any marketing. The brand did that."
